They're just trying to play it cool cuz the camera is around. You know they are totally fangirling out on the inside. That's why the guy in the plaid is looking away from Jake. He's trying to regain his composure.
Oh my freaking God, it IS our two monthiversary!!!!! And I would have completely forgotten had Jake not reminded me!! (He is always so good at remembering our anniversaries.)
Alright, I'd like to thank Jake, for encouraging me to come back. I'd like to thank britpopbaby for commenting when I was, like, 2 days in and crying because no one was visiting the blog. But mostly I'd like to thank all of you for talking amongst yourselves in the comments over the weekend during my marathon book-editing sprint. :)
Seriously, I'm very excited to have made it 2 months. True story, I wanted to start the blog a day earlier, but I woke up to find my computer had DIED, and so I took it to the shop and then went to Best Buy to buy a crappy $300 laptop and did all of the first week's posts on that and then took the laptop back to Best Buy when I got my computer back. I am a committed blogger like that.
Awesome news, happy two months! And many more to come!
PS. agreed with Mo, those two are totally fangirling on the inside (and notice Jake's textbook star quality here, I mean if you were some sort of recluse who never heard of Jake Gyllenhaal you'd still immediately recognize that he's somebody famous)
There are many things wrong in America today - racism, poverty, the fiscal crisis, the oil spill in the gulf coast...but most tragically the RAMPANT LACK OF APPRECIATION FOR THE GYLLENHAAL.
It's a travesty of American culture and cinema, that's what it is.
More travesty? http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/herocomplex/2010/07/ed-norton-hulk-marvel.html
In other news, I just watched Rendition which was playing on USA (the channel). Although I have my fair share of criticism for the film, overall my opinion of the movie has improved. Meryl Streep is wonderful and Jake played his part well, although I think his part was sort of condensed.
YAY!! :D Thank you, all! Also very yay...I JUST FINISHED MY BOOK!! It's been quite the day for me; thus I'm going to go out drinking right now. :)
Sam, that DOES look like NRM in disguise. And look at that, we haven't heard from him today. Suspicious!
Regarding Rendition...I have to confess I only saw it once. I think I said on the "Fave Jake Movies" post that it wasn't one of my favorites, but it's been so long now I can't even remember all the specifics as to why that was. But if his part was condensed, I can see that as definitely being one of my reasons. What sticks out in my mind is that the only time I really smiled while watching it was when he said, "This is my first torture." And when your one smile comes from a torture reference, then it's probably not going to be my favorite movie... :-/
Sorry, I'm late to the party to wish you Happy 2 monthiversary, PG. I wish I had been here from the beginning, but better late than never especially where the Gyllenhaal is concerned. Just so glad to hear that you toughed it out in that precarious return to bring us such Gyllenjoy.
LOVE that pic, MO! Uber-thanks! >;-)
I find that very odd myself that those 2 are blatantly ignoring our hero. Hmmph, I don't buy it one bit. Mo & Lena are spot on with their observations.
& KD, you are so right, "NOBODY PUTS BABY IN THE CORNER"!!! Gylls deserves EVERYONE'S attention at all times, at least all us "Gyllenho's" are always at the ready to make sure he is never lacking in that department. (Like he would EVER lack in ANY department) >;-)
One more thing regarding an observation I made about the cool pic Mo made for the party. Doesn't Jake's eyebrows look almost TOO perfectly coiffed? I don't think I've ever seen them look quite that pretty before. He just keeps adding to that gorgeous face every day. Will it NEVER end? Damn, he is just magnificent, I can't hardly handle all that beauty radiating off of him. **drools**

I actually think that is NRM in disguise, he is doing a great stalking job isnt he!
Happy Birthday PG, i must say for me that feels like it has gone REALLY quickly.
KD, you put it perfectly. Jakes role did seem "condenses" There just wasnt enough of Gylls in that film!
Happy Blogiversary, PG! I promise to be around for the 10th . . 15th . . 25th . . . ;D

Happy Two Month Anniversary, PG!
May Jake whisk you away on an exotic vacation where you two will be completely isolated so that you guys may spend many a times frolicking!
Dear Jake, if you are reading this, please refer to above comment.
kbaithanx
Word, Vanessa. His eyebrows are more manicured than mine. What up with that?
PG. I FORGOT THE MOST CRUCIAL PART.
Let me rephrase:
"Happy Two Month Anniversary, PG!
May Jake whisk you away on an exotic vacation where you two will be completely isolated so that you guys may spend many a times frolicking (in bed)!"
Now there's the proper wish!
^^^ And what makes version 2 so much better is that it has suddenly become Jake's personal DREAM COME TRUE... ;)
