I'm re-watching some of his older films and is it just me or does it seem like Jake is far more...built than previously? And I don't just mean fit, but entire build/bone structure wise? He seems kind of...hulk-ish now. Is it for that biopic he's doing?
(It sort of makes me feel uneasy seeing him this...huge, for lack of a better word)
He sure looks happy. Maybe he's reflecting on how much happiness he gives to us.
I think we see Jake laughing in these "exiting gym shots" because he's thinking this is just so stupid that these photographers are waiting for his every move. I'm sure he finds it hilarious that people are interested in him leaving a gym. I know I would. I'm sure "get a life" has crossed his mind more than once.
What is this like a 5 in the Car Getting Into scale? He's got a full load in one hand and keys in the other. What's the verdict, PG?

Look at that! It's DEFINITELY a step up. I could totally be swayed into scoring him at a 5. I mean, the fact that he's not only got a pile in his non-opening hand but then ALSO is carrying stuff in the opening hand...
We haven't seen a performance from him like this in a while. It almost brings a tear to my eye to see him using his potential!
So is the Joe Namath project on? I realize I'm supposed to know these sorts of things, but sometimes I don't and this is one of those times. :( ('Cause if so, I'm thinking he'll be getting a lot bigger before he slims down, KD...which could get interesting...)
P.S. To Phoebe - because it will take me forever, as always, to e-mail you - we heard from John! But there were no sightings. :( He's not leaving London for a few days, though, so who knows?? And now that I've completely confused everyone with this conversation... ;D
I agree. The towel was a fantastic accessorizing touch. :)
I'm a little uncertain if this is the "real" Jake, or a clever personality impersonator. For one, there's the Mona Lisa smile which Jake rarely does in front of the papparazi. And the towel. It's deceiving. He's been wearing a white towel in the waistband of his shorts (allow a moment for the naughty thoughts) and now he's CARRYING a yellow towel? Or is it really Jake, just trying to impress us with how much he can carry AND open the car door?
PG, do we have proof that Jake does indeed open a car door after this?
I didn't want to spark widespread panic, so I was playing it cool, but I thought the SAME THING. Have we seen these shorts before? Shirt? Hat? Shoes? And with the towel being different...have we EVER known the real Jake to wear an entirely new outfit? EVER?!
And no. There is no evidence that he actually opened the door. In fact, the sequence of photographs MYSTERIOUSLY ENDS. Coincidence? Or cover-up? I'll be keeping a close eye on this...
I think the biopic is definitely still on, PG, but a date/time hasn't been set. But it makes me wonder if all this gym activity lately is him preparing for another labor-intensive role?
MAYBE THAT UNTITLED MOON PROJECT??? Food for thought. He just seems unnaturally buff to me, like he's training for PoP 2 or something. (??!??!! COULD IT BE? Doubt it.)
And this definitely gets a 5 in Car Entrance, just for the nice smile!

There's actually a video of this at X17 Video and HE DOES get into a car! Very smooth, easy and smiling. The paps were actually quite polite and told him he looked good. :)

He probably had to buy new clothes because his old ones dont fit him any more- he looks HUGE

my friends and i went to his show for his band Dead Mans Bones. We hung around and ended up being able to take some pictures with him.
