Jake Gyllenhaal is Looking *Very Earnest* on the Set of MTV Live
What is this MTV Live thing? Is this Canadian? Do I have to blame Canada for not knowing where to find a video of this online? Come on, Canada. I watched the Winter Olympics. I know you're capable of better performances than this.
In the meantime, I guess we'll just have to make up our own Jake interview to go with these pictures. From his facial expressions we know that this roundtable discussion was an intense one, full of very serious subject matter. It was probably a conversation on the big issues, like war and foreign policy. In fact, Jake Gyllenhaal may have figured out how to solve the oil crisis in the Gulf...but because Canada has failed us, we will never know.
What is being said here?!
Then again, I actually didn't look too hard to find a video. So if there's one out, just ignore me and focus on the pictures. Oh, you're doing that already? Well done.

And Megan, I couldn't watch it!! :( I'm so sad right now. Of course, it let me watch the ads beforehand, and I got all excited thinking it was going to work but...no. Argh. Thank you for finding it, though, because that's more than I was able to. I hope the Canadians among us are enjoying it! (*sniff*)
I was actually there that day, and there wasn't any discussion of world politics etc. It was the standard questions. But there were a lot of innuendos being thrown around, and words of obscenity. And example was when Jake was taking about the guy who handle the snakes on set, a girl yelled out 'I want to see your snake man!'. Jake responded with 'very well played'. And one very clever audience member. They kept on demanding to see his abs and he wasn't giving in. When there was a discussion of his ostrich fear they ask how tall it was. Jake generously demonstrated by standing on his tippy toes and stretching his hands high which reveal some of his abs.

So in the meantime...Lucy, you were there?! That is so awesome!!!! Thank you for the recap! It sounds like it was a fun show (if risqué). And so THAT'S what that picture was of Jake measuring the height of something tall! I was completely baffled by that photo. Man, you're so lucky...I'm thrilled that so many fans got to be a part of various tapings/interviews/publicity events while Jake was promoting Prince of Persia. (But I'd be lying if I said I wasn't jealous that I wasn't one of them.) The snake thing is top notch. I'd never be that on top of things. ;)
