Prince of Persia Did Not (Totally) Fail Overseas!
Well, hi there, Jake!
Here is Jake looking oh-so-dapper dressed in fine linens and signing autographs for middle-aged men who are looking to make some money on eBay. And where was this excitement taking place? Why, outside of Good Morning America, of course! We'll see if I can't scrounge up a video of Jake's (no doubt!) fantastic interview a little later. (If so, I'll post it in this entry.)
UPDATE: Here we go!
UPDATE: Here we go!
Prince of Persia, meanwhile, opened, like, all over the place overseas this weekend, and did fairly alright in most places but did freaking awesome in Spain. Spain, therefore, is exempt from my wrath as I angrily convey the downside to the box office numbers, which is that Robin Hood actually won the weekend. ISJ has no choice now but to Forever Protest the Existence of Russell Crowe. What a freaking attention hog.
Forget him; let's all focus on someone much more low-key:
The gray-haired man on the right is just enraptured. As well you should be, sir. As well you should be.

I don't know, the guy with the grey hair doesn't look enraptured to me, he looks like a deer in the headlights because he was CAUGHT STALKING! What an amateur.
Looking forward to your in-depth commentaries on Jake's appearances. Like a political speech, I look to you to interpret the message(s) for me.

Those boots!! What is with him and those boots?! They can be worn with your jeans, man, but it throws off your whole look with that suit. I know you're hard up for money but, go cash your Prince of Persia check! There should be just enough there to buy some new shoes and a new jacket.
Ooh. Good catch on the amateur stalker, CC!
I found a video! I hope it stays up. I haven't even watched it yet. The internet was down this morning, and then I had a doctor's appointment, and now I have to go to the grocery store, and doesn't my life REALIZE that it's going to take considerable time, effort, and thought to interpret Jake's interview at the level it DESERVES?! God, I so do not have time to have a life right now... ;D
RH2006 I TOTALLY agree with you about the boots they SO do not go with the suit.
I wonder what kind of socks he is wearing with the boots...
Good question, CC. If the boots are any indictaion, my best guess would be something wildly inappropraite. Like these: http://bit.ly/9wuZlS
I LOVE how he says "witty banter..." From now on, will try to work phrase into my conversations. I too, will be a sophisticate!
Thanks for the video. I was so impressed at the awe and wonder on the faces of the sudience members.
This was an immensely spiritual moment...you could tell.
I was trying to get a good screenshot of the audience! (But failed.) They did look very much stunned that they were standing in the same room as Jake. Which was totally the appropriate reaction. :D
I will admit Robin Hood was pretty good.. and i cant protest his existance because he is a fellow Aussie BUT I'm MORE than excited about POP im going to see if first thing friday morning BY MYSELF! Thats dedication people. That is not a FAIL!
Back again...
It's Sex and the City that they gotta worry about!!!
^^^ I KNOW! They're been promoting it like CRAZY here. It's every other commercial break and I've seen one Prince of Persia ad all week. I've got my fingers crossed, though...
And solo movie viewing is TOTALLY dedication and absolutely nothing else. It's not like you want anyone there distracting you! It's extremely important and serious business to watch a Jake movie for the first time.
I've threatened all my girlfriends that if they dare go see SATC on PoP opening weekend, they will be otherwise dead to me! ;]
